Contract Cleaning | a ghost story at Christmas?

The idea for this story popped into my head when I was researching and writing my dissertation for my History MA in 2019. I put it on hold and each year have tried to complete it before Christmas until abandoning it as work deadlines took precedence.

With similar deadlines this year, I was determined to do something with the story, so finished it as best I could and read it out aloud for the first time in front of the camera.

This one take includes half a dozen fluffed lines and short edits, but is otherwise raw. Usually, I would edit more, rehearse, develop character voices to produce a more polished performance, but I would have missed Christmas again.

At last, this story is out of my head, free to soar or flop, and I can move on to other personal creative projects. Sometimes you just have to let things go . . .

If you make it to the end, I hope it provides 27 minutes of enjoyment for you.
